To lessen its environmental impact, Stratermic seeks to reduce waste.

This is why recycled polyester materials are being developed from recycled plastic bottles and waste thread.

Some components are made from 100% recycled polyester: some fleeces (eg Solognac Stratermic Sibir 300  or Quechua forclaz 50 light ), and some wadding... There are also 80%, 50% and 20% recycled polyester components, depending on the product.

In 2009, recycled polyester accounted for around 10% of Stratermic components.

These recycled components have the same technical qualities as classic polyester: warm, light, durable (pending test results).

Did you know that a plastic bottle takes 100 to 1,000 years to biodegrade?

Stratermic is developing a fleece knit made from 100% recycled polyester. It is manufactured from recycling of industrial waste (80%) and plastic bottles (20%).

This knit meets the same quality requirements as any other STRATERMIC labelled fleece.
