This new material, composed of three layers, boasts specific technical features.

It can be worn alone or as a second layer in winter, it comprises different materials (outer fabric + membrane + fleece) with complementary properties.

1) The outer fabric is water repellent: water slides over the surface but doesn't soak in, protecting you from light rain.

2) The fleece or brushed lining provides comfort and warmth.

3) And between this sandwich is a micro-porous membrane which protects you from the wind and ensures body heat is not lost.
This membrane is also breathable: it wicks away water vapour generated by the body (through the microscopic pores) to the outside of the garment, preventing condensation and keeping the wearer warm and dry!

With all these properties, softshell is a highly technical material:
• thermal comfort thanks to protection from the cold and wind (windproof),
• breathability,
• weight,
• ease of movement thanks to stretch components,
• and rain protection (water repellence).
